Emil Kirkegaard, Steven Pinker, Maarten Boudry and the racist Heterodox Conference

So according to an article in DeWereldMorgen, the "free Belgian Dutch-language alternative media website," Emil Kirkegaard was at the Heterodox Conference organized by Eric Kaufmann, the conference that Steven Pinker attended after being interviewed for neo-Nazi Aporia magazine

Pinker aligning with a neo-Nazi organization, owned by the neo-Nazi pedophilia-defending Emil Kirkegaard was an event so notable in the history of Pinker's 20+ year romance with race pseudoscience - always forgiven and forgotten by the legacy media - that the Guardian, a legacy media organization, actually wrote about it.

Fun fact: Kirkegaard sued someone for defamation for referring to him as a supporter of paedophilia, in British court - and Kirkegaard lost the case. He was later ordered to pay the defendant and he has refused to do so for years now. So on top of being a neo-Nazi, racist pedophilia defender he's also a deadbeat scofflaw.

In other words, exactly the kind of loser that the racist ghouls at the Heterodox Conference in Buckingham would align with.

The DeWereldMorgen article by Jotie, which I translated into English via Google Translate, is called Maarten Boudry at a race science meeting. The article begins:

Maarten Boudry attended the Heterodox Conference in Buckingham. The conference ran from 5 to 7 June and was organised by Eric Kaufmann. Kaufmann has his own project at the University of Buckingham, The Centre of Heterodox Social Science, with the approval of Buckingham's vice-chancellor James Tooley (1). In the work of Eric Kaufmann and among the attendees at the conference, a striking number of pseudoscientific racists: Claire Lehman, Nathan Cofnas, Noah Carl, Emil Kirkegaard. Founder Eric Kaufmann is in fact well-disposed towards pseudoscientific racism.

Later in the article:

Noah Karl and Emil Kirkegaard were also present at the Heterodox conference and recorded an episode for the Aporia podcast.

I assume Maarten Boudry refers to "Dutch-speaking Belgian philosopher and skeptic" Maarten Boudry

I did not recognize Boudry's name, even though I'd mentioned him on this blog, but after Googling the name a bit realized he was another race pseudoscience loving creep, referring to Steven Pinker in an interview with him as "one of my intellectual heroes."


GODDAM - I just took a peek and Boudry contributes so often to racist monstrosity Quillette, he might as well be on staff.

It seems very likely to me that there is some kind of financial connection between Kirkegaard and his neo-Nazi organization (formerly Human Diversity Foundation, now Polygenic Scores LLC) and Kaufmann, who organized the conference and the University of Buckingham which hosted the conference.

I just wish the article had a photo of Kirkegaard from the conference. 

I do take exception to the last section of the article though:

Two more mainstream figures who were also present were Shermer and Pinker. 
 
Michael Shermer, editor of Skeptic 2000, has fallen head over heels for racial biology. Shermer is friends with Elizabeth Weiss, the wife of the late race science quack Philip Rushton (Rushton thought men with long penises had low IQs and got his data from fictional soft porn). “Of course you think Rushton was a racist. I thought so too until I looked at the evidence.” (12). 
 
Elizabeth Weiss also got a chapter in Lawrence Krauss's book The War On Science. This isn't the only similarity between Krauss and Shermer, both have also been accused of misconduct. 
 
Steven Pinker has also long been a proponent of racial biology. In his work such as “The Blank Slate” he offers a more moderate version in which he argues that a completely blank slate model is wrong. In reality he goes very far with the opposite, biological explanation. Steven Pinker has been a member of Steve Sailer’s email group, the “Human Biodiversity Discussion Group,” since the late 1990s. In 2002 he gave an interview to Sailer and in 2004 Pinker nominated a text by Sailer for “The Best Science and Nature Writing 2004.” Steve Sailer argued that because Iraqis often (17%, 40%, 60%) marry cousins, genetics made it impossible to build democracy in Iraq. 
 
Pinker regularly promotes, among other things, the “Natural History of Ashkenazi Intelligence”, a race science paper by Gregory Cochran. Greg received 600,000 dollars from Ron Unz for his work and has not contributed since, much to the annoyance of the race science movement (13). 
 
Greg suspected that Jews were hyperintelligent because the genes that cause genetic abnormalities within the Jewish community, such as Tay–Sachs, would also be responsible for intelligence. This hypothesis, no matter how often Pinker says that it can be tested, has never been tested. Neither by Pinker nor by Greg. 
 
According to geneticist Adam Rutherford, the genes for intelligence and the genes for these abnormalities are unrelated (14). 
 
Despite the value of this paper, it is frequently used by racial biologists, and by Nathan Cofnas and Kevin MacDonald.

The last sentence jumped out at me, although the issue might be the translation rather than the content itself. 

UPDATE: I'm told that Google Translate did not accurately translate the part of the article about NHAI, and the article does not say NHAI has value.

But if the content is represented accurately, I must object to the Natural History of Ashkenazi Intelligence (NHAI) paper referred to as if it has any value at all. It is garbage and I recently celebrated the fact that in the 20 years since it has been published, it has never been proven - nor even tested in spite of the feckless, racist weasel Steven Pinker claiming it would be easy to test.

Also, rather than Kevin MacDonald the white supremacist and anti-Semite using the NHAI paper, MacDonald is cited as a source by the NHAI paper.

And of course Adam Rutherford may object to the NHAI, but as I documented in my 9-part series "What happened to Adam Rutherford?" the behavioral genetics garbage that Rutherford was lately seen promoting comes to the same hereditarian conclusions about jobs and genetics that NHAI does.

It's time to say it out loud - Steven Pinker is a racist - a shameless racist

Steven Pinker has been called many things during the years of his fame.

A "celebrity intellectual" by the New York Times.

"The World's Most Annoying Man" by Nathan J. Robinson.

"A weasel" by me.

But it's time for another word to describe Pinker and he's been working towards it for about the last quarter-century, since at least when he was helping to promote the career of professional racist Steve Sailer

As already established, Steven Pinker is utterly shameless, so it's no surprise to see him following up his appearance on the neo-Nazi Aporia magazine podcast with his participation at the "inaugural Heterodox Conference" which wraps up today.

Just about every single person at this conference has a connection to Aporia, Quillette, the far right, (MAGA Christopher Rufo,) or has become famous for sexual harassment like Lawrence Krauss and Joshua Katz. Plus that idiot Yascha Mounk of the reactionary-infested Persuasion

And of course the Intellectual Dark Web, including named member, and complete racist Michael Shermer, good personal friend of Steven Pinker.

The conference was organized by Eric Kaufmann, a member of racist extremist Richard Hanania's think tank. Which makes me think that Hanania funded this conference, but considering how many people at the conference have worked for or with Emil Kirkegaard via Aporia and other outlets of Polygenic Scores (formerly Human Diversity Foundation) Kirkegaard is also a suspect.

And Jonathan Anomaly, eugenics huckster, and SLAPP suit plaintiff, was also there.

The Guardian took notice of Pinker's close alliance with racists today in its article, Harvard author Steven Pinker appears on podcast linked to scientific racism, writing:

The Harvard psychologist and bestselling author Steven Pinker appeared on the podcast of Aporia, an outlet whose owners advocate for a revival of race science and have spoken of seeking “legitimation by association” by platforming more mainstream figures.

I had to laugh at "legitimation by association." Pinker and his sociobiology sympathizers like Abdel Abdellaoui like to cry "guilt by association" whenever their connections to racists are mentioned, so it's great to see Pinker's racist buddies admit they do exactly what I've always accused them of doing - using Steve Pinker, celebrity intellectual, in their campaign to mainstream race pseudoscience.

Patrik Hermansson, a researcher at UK anti-racism non-profit Hope Not Hate, said that Pinker’s “decision to appear on Aporia, a far-right platform for scientific racism, provides an invaluable service to an extremist outlet by legitimising its content and attracting new followers”.
He added: “By lending his Harvard credentials to Aporia, Pinker contributes to the normalisation and spread of dangerous, discredited ideas.”

That was always the plan - to mainstream race pseudoscience. That's why Quillette recruited Pinker to write for them

Is Joe Rogan the king of morons?

What "Happened" to Joe Rogan? is the title of the most recent Some More News channel video and it's great. 

Joe Rogan, like Candace Owens, is a member of the Intellectual Dark Web that I have rarely mentioned over the past six and a half years that I've had this Pinkerite blog. And Rogan was even one of those who had his photo taken lurking in the dark, like the other grifters.

This Some More News video traces Rogan's journey from being a sort-of outsider to being part of the American fascism power structure. 

The host, Cody, keeps coming back to the fact that at one time Rogan referred to Trump as the "king of morons" long before he endorsed Trump. This video convinced me that Rogan is king of morons. 

And so is Trump but all non-morons knew that long ago.

I especially like this because I think there's likely some cross-over between Rogan's audience and Some More News' audience, and Rogan's audience needs to hear this - there may be hope for the percentage of Rogan's audience who are not morons.

Oh look the Intellectual Dark Web guy showed up on racist Michael Shermer's podcast

I tried to listen, I really did, to Jamie Q. Roberts talking to racist Michael Shermer about the Intellectual Dark Web. I mean, the term "Intellectual Dark Web" is in the title of this blog, so I feel like I should.

But after I dipped into it at some point and heard Roberts going on about how Shakespeare's HAMLET tells us so much about relationships between men and women... I just couldn't go on. 

He's just as tiresome as I suspected several months ago.

I should probably just change the name of this blog to Steven Pinker and Race Pseudoscience and leave off "Intellectual Dark Web."

70-year-old reactionary has thoughts about the kids these days

I find it funny that the same media outlet, The Good Men Project, that promoted the career of Robin DiAngelo nine years ago is now promoting the career of Steven Pinker

Although Pinker and DiAngelo do have one thing in common - both believe in ethnic essentialism. 

But while Pinker aligns with the race pseudoscience organization International Society for Intelligence Research, DiAngelo is the freelance purveyor of the belief that "white" people (however DiAngelo defines white, she's never been clear about that) are all born to be hopeless racists. Unless they spend thousands to take DiAngelo's seminars where they may be absolved of their original sin.

Pinker likes to spend his time with racist grifter Michael Shermer who, unlike Pinker, is a blatant admirer of the racist charlatan J. Phillip Rushton. Pinker is too much of a weasel to admit his real beliefs, although the fact that he spends so much of his time hobnobbing with racists is a give-away.

Pinker is still a subscriber on Twitter/X to professional racist Richard Hanania. The image above was captured today.

So Pinker, who recently turned 70 (I wonder if he considers himself old now, instead of middle-aged as he did a year ago), shares his diagnosis for what is wrong with the kids these days. Surprise surprise, it is what every right-wing reactionary grifting ghoul has been saying for at least five years: wokeness.

Robert Conquest, the historian, is sometimes credited with a law that states that any institution that is not constitutionally right-wing becomes left-wing. You can see the drift that has happened to many institutions recently. They have not become left-wing in the economic quasi-Marxist sense but “woke” in the sense of identitarian politics, seeing culture and history as a zero-sum struggle among racial and sexual groups. A kind of intolerant identitarian politics has captured several societies with well-defined intellectual goals. It has happened to the ACLU, the American Humanist Association, and Planned Parenthood.

On top of being entirely predictable and annoying Pinker is such a hypocrite. Pinker supports people like Michael Shermer, Richard Hanania and Linda Gottfredson, who indisputably believe that culture and history is a zero-sum struggle among racial and sexual groups. They believe human society is a genetically-determined hierarchy of intelligence with white men at the top. Although to be fair, sometimes race pseudoscience mongers claim East Asians are on top, depending on which pseudoscience monger you're talking to.  Although even if they believe that East Asians are the most intelligent, you can still find them barking about the superiority of Western Civilization™. 

And then sometimes they declare Jews to be separate from whites while claiming Jews are on top (per the never-tested, far-fetched Natural History of Ashkenazi Intelligence hypothesis.) 

This is not hyperbole - Gottfredson can be heard literally ranking races by intelligence with Stefan Molyneux in 2016. If Pinker has ever spoken out against Gottfredson, I've never found any evidence of it. There's far more evidence of Pinker defending Gottfredson, as he did in 2018.

You can be sure that Pinker's interviewer, Scott Douglas Jacobsen, does not ask Pinker about his support for Hanania or Steve Sailer or other racists, since Jacobsen can be found in 2022 promoting right-wing racist hereditarian trash rags Areo and Quillette as "freedom of speech" publications. 

Just the kind of lazy quasi-journalist who serves Pinker's interests the best.

The Far Right & the International Society for Intelligence Research

The Atlantic published an article by Ali Breland yesterday, The Far Right Is Becoming Obsessed With Race and IQ. Thanks to Maxine Margolis for the heads-up!

I have an issue with the title though. The far right has long been obsessed with Race and IQ. The important issue, which is what the article is really about, is that the Republican Party is being infected by race pseudoscience: 

The gospel of race science has not fully caught on with the broader MAGA masses yet, but you can see how it’s starting to trickle out. Race science is wrapped up in the right’s attack on Kamala Harris as the “DEI candidate.” The implication is that Harris’s success can only be attributed to her race and gender, not her intellect or experience. To a race-science proponent, that’s just what the data say.

And it's been going on since at least Bari Weiss's infamous glorification of several hardcore race pseudoscience promoters among the "renegades" of the Intellectual Dark Web including Michael Shermer, Douglas Murray, Charles Murray, Sam Harris and of course Steven Pinker.

I don't think the article really has a good handle on Steve Sailer's career though, whatever Sailer may claim:

In June, (Sailer) also appeared on Tucker Carlson’s web show. “Somehow you became a mysterious outlaw figure that no one is allowed to meet or talk to,” Carlson said from inside his barn studio in Maine. Sailer chuckled in agreement. “For 10 years—from 2013 into 2023—you basically couldn’t go see Steve Sailer give a speech anywhere,” he said. Now he was free to speak.

Sailer’s move into the spotlight, though significant on its own, marks something larger: Race science is on the rise. 

I have long noted on this blog that 2012 was the last time Steven Pinker mentioned Sailer in public after a previous decade of promoting his career, so I assume that's why Sailer picked 2013 as the year he was allegedly pushed out of the spotlight. And 2023 was when stochastic terrorist Elon Musk took over Twitter and invited all the racist ghouls back on. 

But New York Magazine had an article all about Sailer in 2017, The Man Who Invented Identity Politics for the New Right. So Sailer was hardly in hiding. 

The article does not mention the International Society for Intelligence Research, of course, but it does mention Stefan Molyneux, who had Linda Gottfredson, one of the most prominent members of ISIR on his show and together they ranked races with Black people on the bottom. 

The ISIR chugs along, year after year, almost completely unnoticed by the mainstream media, platforming many many proponents of race pseudoscience at its conferences. In 2023 it featured Michael Woodley of Menie, Gregory Clark, Rosalind Arden, Richard Haier, Emily Willoughby and Steven Pinker. 

This year they allowed one of the most extreme racists back in to make a presentation - Emil Kirkegaard.

There's a reference to "Bronze Age Pervert" in the Atlantic article and as outrageous as he is, his message per Breland is a perfect encapsulation of the ISIR ethos from Arthur Jensen to Linda Gottfredson to Richard Haier:

Much of his message essentially boils down to this: Some people are better than others, there is a natural order, and Black people are definitely at or near the bottom of it.

Note that participation is determined by mention in the annual conference program either for the inclusion of their work, or as an organizer or advisor or various administrative functions like interviewing the participants. But identification as a participant doesn't necessarily mean the individual was at the conference in person.

I haven't completed the 2024 conference since they haven't released the program yet, so these numbers are based on a timespan from 2000 to 2023. There was no conference in 2020. The right column is the number of times each has participated.

So let's meet these most enthusiastic ISIR racist rodeo participants.
Lubinski has not published anything directly about race, that I was able to discover so far, but his dedication to the cause of race pseudoscience seems certain via his various Jensenite associations and his apparently warm relationship with people like Linda Gottfredson and Steven Pinker. When Pinker was at the 2017 conference, Lubinski interviewed him and asked him, in effect, what made him come over to his side, the race pseudoscience side:
How did someone with your background, someone who at one point in his career and I'm not putting him on the spot because Steven said this publicly, said early on, he found individual differences "uninteresting" how did someone at that stage of development become so interested in human psychological diversity that you developed expertise in individual differences and wrote a book like "Blank Slate."
"Human psychological diversity" is a term indistinguishable from Steve Sailer's "human biodiversity." And clearly Lubinski is using the term "individual differences" as a synonym for "human psychological diversity." 

Lubinski published an obituary for Jensen in American Psychologist that paints Jensen as compassionate towards Black people while failing to mention Jensen's alliances with hard-core racists like American Renaissance; that he was supported by the Pioneer Fund; and that he was on the board of the neo-Nazi publication Neue Anthropologie.

Why write a paper about racism and genetics in the second decade of the Twenty-First century? Surely arguments about race, intelligence and genetics are dead and buried? A Black man has been President and, in both the US and UK, bold assertions about racial minorities’ supposed intellectual inferiority have led to public condemnation for the speaker. Part of my answer lies in the main title of the paper, which quotes Professor Robert Plomin, one of the principal figures in contemporary writing about genetics and education. 
As I explain (below), Plomin has become something of a celebrity-academic in the UK; his claims make headline news, his views are sought by policy-makers, and he features in pop-science radio shows. In one such show, hosted by Jim Al-Khalili (Professor of Physics and Professor of Public Engagement in Science at the University of Surrey, UK) he was challenged on the topic of race. Plomin described his approach as follows:  
‘In general I’ve felt softly softly is a better way to go…’ (BBC Radio 4, 2015).[1]  
Until recently many in the field of behavioural genetics have been far less reticent about airing their views. The Bell Curve (Herrnstein & Murray, 1994) is the most famous, but by no means the only, example of such work (see Eysenck, 1971; Gottfredson, 1986; Jensen, 1969; Lynn, 1991 & 2001; Rushton, 1997). This paper shows how, in recent years, a softly softly approach (that avoids explicit reference to race) has become more common. I argue that this inexplicitness should not be mistaken for an absence of racialized thinking and does not signal that the current work is free from possible racist consequences. Indeed, if anything, the new softly softly version of hereditarianism may be even more dangerous than the outspoken version of earlier periods.

No one has successfully isolated any genes “for” intelligence at all, and claims in this direction have turned to dust when subjected to peer review. As the Edinburgh University cognitive ageing specialist Prof Ian Deary put it, “It is difficult to name even one gene that is reliably associated with normal intelligence in young, healthy adults.” Intelligence doesn’t come neatly packaged and labelled on any single strand of DNA. 
So it's strange that he spends so much time with people convinced of the hereditarian hypothesis, and, let's be real, hard-core racists and neo-Nazis who show up at ISIR conferences.

  • Douglas K. Detterman - according to his Wikipedia entry: "Among his achievements, Detterman founded the scientific journal Intelligence in 1977, and was editor in chief from 1977 to 2016 where it was taken over by Richard Haier. He also founded the International Society for Intelligence Research and was its president until 2011." 
The entry doesn't mention that Detterman is also vice president/director of the Jensenite, Pioneer Fund grantee organization the Institute of Mental Chronometry. It is likely that Detterman is just as racist as Gottfredson is and Jensen was, but is more careful to downplay the racism at the heart of his belief-system.

Five of the top 10 ISIR conference participants signed Gottfredson's "Mainstream Science" claim. 

Another signer was R. Travis Osborne - pro-segregationist, director of the Pioneer Fund. His article "Racial Differences in Mental Growth and School Achievement" was included in a collection of race pseudoscience essays edited by Robert Kuttner, another segregationist. That collection was a big influence on Arthur Jensen.

The race pseudoscience obsession with school achievement has continued from the days of segregationists like Osborne through the Institute of Mental Chronometry, which was originally called "Institute for the Study of Educational Differences" through to Kathryn Paige Harden and "behavioral genetics" arguing that educational attainment is the result of genes, to Richard Haier arguing for manipulating genes to raise IQ.

From the Majority Report: Dave Rubin And Russell Brand Have An Idiot Contest

Dave Rubin was named in the infamous Bari Weiss article as a member of the Intellectual Dark Web - and even had his photo taken in the dark:
“I’ve been at this for 25 years now, having done all the MSM shows, including Oprah, Charlie Rose, ‘The Colbert Report,’ Larry King — you name it,” Michael Shermer, the publisher of Skeptic magazine, told me. “The last couple of years I’ve shifted to doing shows hosted by Joe Rogan, Dave Rubin, Sam Harris and others. The I.D.W. is as powerful a media as any I’ve encountered.”

Mr. Shermer, a middle-aged science writer, now gets recognized on the street. On a recent bike ride in Santa Barbara, Calif., he passed a work crew and “the flag man stopped me and says: ‘Hey, you’re that skeptic guy, Shermer! I saw you on Dave Rubin and Joe Rogan!’” When he can’t watch the shows on YouTube, he listens to them as podcasts on the job. On breaks, he told Mr. Shermer, he takes notes.

“I’ve had to update Quillette’s servers three times now because it’s caved under the weight of the traffic,” Ms. Lehmann said about the publication most associated with this movement.

But I had to share this Majority Report episode - just the title alone is perfect but the debate about exactly HOW Rubin lied is hysterical.

Aporia - the most prominent bunker full of racists on Substack

There is an entry up on Rational Wiki for Aporia now, and it could not be more timely, since mainstream media has finally caught on to how extreme Aporia is.

Only a few months after Jonathan Katz got the word out about how cozy Substack is with Nazis.

I wrote about how the Substack founders are big fans of race pseudoscience promoters a couple of years ago.

The staff of Aporia Magazine are proponents of HBD, i.e. hereditarianism and racialism[34]:Editor-in-Chief: Matthew Archer, a hereditarian[35] who wants to increase "native fertility" in European countries,[36] dislikes immigration and has strong links to far-right individuals.  Magazine writers

Eugenicists and far-right influencers who have written articles for Aporia, include: Jonathan Anomaly, a eugenicist who has written articles for Quillette and co-authored papers with Bo Winegard.[73][74] For Aporia, he has co-authored an article with Diana Fleischman and Ives Parr defending embryo selection.[75] Anomaly was a speaker at the far-right Natal Conference in 2023.[69][70]  
 
Edward Dutton, a white supremacist, anti-vegan and transphobe who writes articles for the white nationalist site VDARE and The Unz Review.[76][77] He is regular speaker on neo-Nazi Mark Collett's podcast Patriotic Weekly Review.[78][79] He has written articles for OpenPsych and has a long history of collaborating with white nationalist Richard Spencer.[80]In 2021, the Anti-Defamation League noted that "Richard Spencer currently co-hosts a podcast, called Radix Live, with Edward Dutton that often features explicit racist rhetoric and furthers antisemitic conspiracies".[81] Dutton was investigated by the University of Oulu and found guilty of scientific misconduct due to plagiarism.[82] PZ Myers has described Dutton as a racist fraud.[83] For Aporia, Dutton wrote an article on the Flynn Effect citing discredited research of Michael A. Woodley of Menie.[84] 
 
George Francis, a HBD pseudoscientist, interracial porn addict and close friend of white nationalist Emil Kirkegaard who is obsessed with researching black men's penis size.[85]Francis has written papers for OpenPsych.[86] For Aporia, he has written an article arguing that black men have the biggest penis size (based on a useless sex worker survey he conducted) and Africa needs to manufacturer larger condoms.[87] 
 
Peter Frost, a far-right anthropologist and HBD pseudoscientist[88] who was interviewed by the white nationalist magazine American Renaissance.[89] Frost has authored articles for the alt-right website The Unz Review[90] and papers for OpenPsych.[91] For Aporia, he has written articles defending the existence of biological races.[92][93][94]

James Thompson, a psychologist and HBD pseudoscientist who holds sexist and racist opinions. Thompson has written that "if women are really important for business success, surely this would show from the very beginning, when companies are being formed" and and "if women were crucial they would innovate and overturn established male businesses with their fresher management techniques".[95] He is a regular columnist on the The Unz Review.[96] One of Thompson's articles for Aporia is titled "Why are black children 11 times more likely to be strip-searched?".[97][98] In another article for Aporia he argued that intelligence research is more important than combating climate change or curing cancer.[99][100]

Joseph Bronski, a pseudonym of a HBD pseudoscientist who writes papers for OpenPsych.[101][102] He wrote an article for Aporia claiming geniuses in society have disappeared.[103] He is certainly no genius himself.

Ives Parr, a eugenicist who supports embryo selection and has criticized trans rights.[75][104] Also a hereditarian and an Arthur Jensen fan.[105]

Ben Winegard, a critic of Black Lives Matter who has written for Quillette with his brother.[106] Winegard has written an article for Aporia criticizing psychotherapy.[107]

 

Podcast

As with the writers, Aporia's podcast speakers have included plenty of racists and unpleasant individuals:Malcolm Collins, a eugenicist and pro-natalist who attended the far-right Natal Conference in 2023.[69][70][108]
Charles Murray, a political scientist best known for co-authoring The Bell Curve. Murray has been described by the Southern Poverty Law Center as a white nationalist and "one of the most influential social scientists in America, using racist pseudoscience and misleading statistics to argue that social inequality is caused by the genetic inferiority of the Black and Latino communities, women and the poor."[109] He appeared on the Aporia podcast with Helmuth Nyborg, titled "Are Multicultural Societies Doomed?".[110]
Helmuth Nyborg, a retired developmental psychologist who supports HBD pseudoscience and attends neo-Nazi and white nationalist events. Nyborg was interviewed by white supremacist Stefan Molyneux in 2016.[111] Nyborg was a speaker at the Scandza Forum (Guide to Kulchu) in 2019 and attended the event in 2023 with Edward Dutton and Emil Kirkegaard.[112][113]Nyborg was personally interviewed by Aporia[114] and appeared on the podcast with Charles Murray.[110]

Alex Kaschuta[130], an anti-vegan and transphobe who has commented that trans children is "pedophilia with extra steps".[131] Kaschuta is the host of The Subversive Podcast which has featured eugenicist and pro-natalists such as Simone and Malcolm Collins, far-right anti-vegan activist Raw Egg Nationalist and white supremacists such as Anatoly Karlin and Steve Sailer.[132][133][134][135] 
 
 
J. Michael Bailey[138][139], a controversial professor of psychology who has a history of writing offensive comments about bisexual, homosexual and transgender people.[140] He has commented that "evolutionarily, homosexuality is a big mistake" and claimed that bisexual men do not exist as all men are either "gay, straight, or lying".[140] Bailey was a member of white supremacist Steve Sailer's Human Biodiversity Institute.[141]
 
Amy Wax[142], a controversial law professor who has has a history of making racist and white supremacist statements.[143] Wax has publicly stated that "on average, Blacks have lower cognitive ability than whites" and the country is "better off with fewer Asians" as long as they tend to vote for Democrats.[144] Wax invited white supremacist Jared Taylor to speak to her students.[145] Wax has stated, "Let us be candid. Europe and the first world, to which the United States belongs, remain mostly white, for now; and the third world, although mixed, contains a lot of non-white people. Embracing cultural distance, cultural-distance nationalism, means, in effect, taking the position that our country will be better off with more whites and fewer non-whites."[146] Penn Law School's dean, Theodore Ruger, called Wax's statements about Asians "racist", "white supremacist", and "diametrically opposed to the policies and ethos of this institution".[147] In 2023, Penn Law initiated disciplinary proceedings against Wax.[147] 
 
Gregory Clark (Greg Clark)[148], a controversial economic historian who advocates eugenics and hereditarianism. Aporia describes Clark as "one of the world's most important hereditarian scholars".[148] Clark has written for Quillette.[149] He dismisses cultural, economic and social dimensions of inheritance and has been accused of misusing evolution.[150] An article in 2014 noted that Clark "says African Americans’ long, difficult struggle hasn’t been caused by discrimination. Because French Canadians also have struggled to progress, and have not faced racism, discrimination can’t be the reason African Americans have had trouble. Therefore, it must be a problem of genes".[150] In 2021, Clark was a scheduled speaker at the Adam Smith Business School in Glasgow but the event was postponed amid pressure from student groups.[151][152] Clark's eugenics research is cited on Emil Kirkegaard's website.[153]

Hot on the heels of the most recent right-wing declaration of their right to promote race pseudoscience and reactionary politics without pushback (a "scholarly" paper,) comes a DECLARATION for the right to promote race pseudoscience and reactionary politics - including anti-trans hatred, climate change denial and Covid conspiracies - without pushback.

Apparently this has been out for like a month but I'm only finding out about it now.

Anyway, let's review this INTERNATIONAL list of utterly shameless race pseudoscience ghouls, evolutionary psychology goons and rightwing grifters. Some of the same people who published the paper also signed this declaration. 

This list includes former far-leftists who are now stooges of the right.

The rightwing is basically addicted to this kind of declaration ever since the Harper's Letter - no wait - ever since racist Linda Gottfredson published a defense of The Bell Curve

Signing these papers and declarations is how the Right performs virtue-signaling.
